Your Opportunity: Taylor Print Impressions a division of Taylor Corporation, is looking for a Print/Press Operator to join our team in Duluth, GA!
Your Shift:
Friday, Saturday, Sunday; 6:00am - 6:30pm (3 days/week, 12-hour shifts)Your Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, adjust, and troubleshoot equipment, in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines; complete all paperwork necessary to follow the job through productionRead and interpret job orders to determine quantities to be printed, paper specifications, colors, and follow special printing instructions Ensure supplies are stocked and/or gather correct materials neededLoad and unload paper stock and set up/load print filesMonitor and examine product for quality assurance; collect and inspect for color and copy samples during print runs to identify any adjustments neededPerform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines, as required, to reduce problems, maintain quality, and minimize costly repairs and downtimeMaintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly mannerFollow standard work methods and prescribed safety practices to ensure production is as efficient and safe, as possibleYou Must Have:
Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to resolve technical issue and/or provide recommendationsAbility to read and interpret simple instructions, short correspondence, and job tickets, along with follow directionsBasic computer skills (open, close, print file)Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and other forms of simple mathematical skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work well independently and with a teamStrong attention to detailAbility to operator equipment to obtain proficiency, as measured through production and quality standardsAbility to distinguish colorsWe Would Also Prefer:
Experience as a Press Feeder or previous experience in a production or manufacturing-related environmentRequirements Within This Position:
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understandRegularly required to remain in a stationary positionConstantly operates machinery and handles products including print materialsFrequently required to move inside the facilityRegularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)
