Principle Account Based Marketing (ABM) Manager, Japan Strategic Customer Marketing
Amazon Web Services is seeking a results-driven Principal Account-Based Marketing (ABM) Manager to design and execute high-impact ABM programs targeting AWS's top strategic enterprise customers in Japan. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution to drive measurable business outcomes through targeted marketing initiatives that deepen engagement and accelerate cloud adoption among Japan's most important strategic accounts.

The Principal Account-Based Marketing Manager will own the end-to-end execution of ABM programs focused on Japan's top strategic enterprise accounts — large-scale organizations across key industries that represent significant growth potential for AWS. This includes both expanding existing relationships and converting untapped business units within named accounts.

Working backwards from customer needs, you will create data-driven, multi-channel campaigns that accelerate pipeline and revenue growth within this critical strategic account segment. This role requires strong project management skills, analytical capabilities, fluency in the Japanese market landscape, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders across both local Japan teams and global marketing organizations.

Key job responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Executive Influence
1. Own the marketing strategy narrative: for Japan’s senior sales leadership, including the Country Managing Director, to define and align on multi-year sales-marketing goals that shape Japan’s business trajectory
2. Establish and lead the strategic planning mechanism: between marketing and sales organizations, creating frameworks that drive organizational alignment across teams you do not directly manage
3. Influence Japan’s go-to-market strategy: by synthesizing market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive dynamics into executive-level recommendations that shape investment decisions and resource allocation

Account Strategy & Business Impact
1. Architect org-level ABM strategy: for Japan’s Cross-Industry strategic accounts, translating complex account intelligence, market signals, and business priorities into integrated multi-year marketing strategies with measurable revenue impact
2. Drive deep-dive account intelligence analysis: across decision-maker ecosystems, technology landscapes, and competitive positioning to identify transformational business opportunities that expand AWS’s strategic footprint
3. Own business outcomes: including Marketing Sourced Pipeline, sales revenue acceleration, and executive-level relationship depth across the strategic account portfolio—operating with full P&L-level accountability for marketing investments

Cross-Organizational Orchestration
1. Lead cross-functional collaboration: across Integrated Demand Center, Partner Marketing, Events, Field Marketing, and other marketing organizations to design and deliver cohesive, multi-touch customer experiences at scale
2. Establish repeatable mechanisms: that enable ABM best practices to scale across the Japan marketing organization—raising the bar for the entire team beyond your direct scope of accounts
3. Influence without direct authority: across sales, partner, and marketing organizations to align priorities, secure resources, and drive execution of complex, multi-stakeholder programs

Execution & Operational Excellence
1. Execute high-impact ABM marketing motions: that accelerate Revenue (Marketing Sourced Pipeline, Sales Revenue), Reputation, and Relationships—strengthening executive-level customer engagement across strategic accounts
2. Define and own success metrics and reporting mechanisms: that demonstrate marketing’s contribution to business outcomes, enabling data-driven investment decisions at the leadership level
