You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world. **A Day in the Life** The Principal Training & Education Specialist plays a critical role in shaping and delivering impactful physician education programs across Europe for Medtronic’s Brain Therapies portfolio within Neuromodulation. Acting as a strategic partner to both internal stakeholders and external healthcare professionals, this role is accountable for the development, implementation, and continuous optimization of medical education pathways that drive clinical excellence and support business growth — with a particular focus on adoption of advanced Deep Brain Stimulation (aDBS). You will operate with a high degree of independence, leveraging internal resources and external networks to identify education gaps, design tailored training solutions, and engage leading Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), faculty, and clinical sites to deliver world-class physician education. **Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:** **Program Design & Development** + Assess current medical education offerings, identify gaps, and design comprehensive physician training pathways, including new program creation and content adaptations + Lead development of innovative education formats, including Visiting Clinician Programs (VCPs) and Centers of Reference (CoRs), to advance physician expertise across the region. **Faculty & HCP Engagement** + Build, expand, and nurture strong relationships with KOLs, faculty, and scientific societies to ensure high-quality educational content and delivery + Act as primary liaison for faculty engagement, selection, coaching, and faculty development initiatives. **Project Leadership & Execution** + Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring alignment of education programs with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and therapy strategies + Manage program budgets, timelines, and KPIs to deliver high-impact, scalable educational experiences. **Strategic Contribution** + Actively contribute to business planning by connecting educational needs with clinical adoption goals and therapy expansion strategies + Partner with commercial, clinical, and market development teams to drive physician readiness and enable adoption of advanced therapies, including aDBS. **Collaboration & Influence** + Serve as an expert advisor within the international medical education community, sharing best practices across geographies + Proactively engage internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, clinical, regulatory, legal) to execute education initiatives in alignment with global and regional strategies. **Required Knowledge and Experience:** + Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) preferred + Minimum 7+ years of experience in medical education, clinical training, or physician engagement within a highly specialized medical device, healthcare, or neuromodulation environment + Strong track record in developing and leading complex physician training programs with external faculty and KOL engagement + Proven ability to operate independently, drive projects with limited oversight, and deliver results + Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution + Experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders without direct authority + Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills + Strong organizational and project management capabilities + Fluent in English; additional European languages a plus + Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50% across Europe and occasionally internationally). **Physical Job Requirements** The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.  **Benefits & Compensation** **Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package** A commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
