Under the guidance of the CKD EHR by Epic Training Manager, the Epic Principal Trainer leads all elements of training creation: planning, design, development, and implementation for designated application(s) in the EHR program. The Epic Principal Trainer will also coordinate ongoing training projects to increase system adoption and user efficiency.
We are seeking a teammate with experience with technology, healthcare and adult learning coupled with prior experience/certifications as a CKD EHR by Epic Principal Trainer. Ability to work effectively with staff and end-users that have a wide range of seniority. Interpersonal skills to function well in administrative, management, and patient care environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point required. Prior Epic certification is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all elements of training creation: curriculum planning & design, development, and implementation for designated application(s)Assist in developing training strategy for designated application(s) and projects.Develop training requirements for Super Users, and end users for designated application(s) including proficiency testing and post training support if needed.Build, test, and maintain the training environment. Creates and maintains highly organized functional specification documents for the training environments and validates their content. Completes thorough testing of all build in training environments prior to their utilization in training.Lead the training team: Onboard credentialed trainers and supplemental staff, execute trainer program, manage training team tasks, manage assigned training program, and assess risks and issues associated with the training program.Acts as a liaison between end users and the Epic build team to enhance training processes.Collaborate with and provide direction to Credentialed Trainers (CTs) associated with application and programs to ensure outstanding content creation, deployment, and delivery. (eLearning, web-based training, video, demonstrations, tip sheets, and blended learning,).Execute training programs: Collaborate on the decision for the best possible type of curriculum delivery methods (such as instructor led classes, e-learning, and blended learning) that will be used during super user training and end user training, oversee attendance tracking, set training requirements for end-user system access. Assist with maintaining a Learning Management System (LMS), designing the course offerings and course catalog in the LMS, and creating an efficient method for self-paced trainings.Works closely with IT leadership, customer leadership, and subject matter experts to ensure training is appropriately structured to satisfy a broad range of training audience requirements.Serve as a coach, mentor, go-to person for peer trainersResponsible for understanding technical and clinical workflows of designated applications.Assist in developing the criteria used to assess learners’ performance.Conducts classroom, one-on-one, and virtual training as neededOther duties as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
