As a Principal Technical Program Manager within the Global Head of Payments Architecture team, you will lead complex, multi-functional technology projects and programs that will impact experiences for multiple groups across the firm, including clients, employees, and stakeholders. Your advanced analytical reasoning and adaptability skills will enable you to break down business, technical, and operational objectives into manageable tasks, while navigating through ambiguity and driving change. The Chief of Staff will serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the Global Head of Payments Architecture, operating as an extension of the leadership team. This high-impact role is responsible for driving strategic initiatives, optimizing organizational effectiveness, and ensuring alignment across the global payments architecture organization. The Chief of Staff will facilitate cross-functional collaboration, manage key projects, and support executive decision-making to advance the firm’s payments strategy

 

Job responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic technical program plans, aligning with organizational goals and cross-functional collaborationPartner with the Global Head to develop and execute the payments architecture vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with company-wide objectives and long-term goals.Define and drive the organization’s operating rhythm, including governance structures, meeting cadences, and decision-making processes to support efficient execution.Act as a delegate for the Global Head in selected meetings and initiatives, representing the payments architecture organization and ensuring alignment with broader business objectivesPartner with Finance and Business Management to own and manage the organization’s budget, headcount, and operating expenses, ensuring financial alignment with strategic priorities and driving efficiencies across the payments architecture organization.Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for payments architecture efficiency, innovation, and risk management. Develop reporting structures and drive continuous improvement.Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams, providing direction and defining decision-making procedures for beneficial outcomesFacilitate communication and coordination between payments architecture, engineering, product, and business teams to drive execution of key priorities.Prepare presentations, reports, and strategic communications for internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership and board members.Lead special projects and strategic initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness, talent development, and technology transformation.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

7+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in large organizationsExcellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint toolsProven experience in a Chief of Staff, strategy, or senior project management role supporting executive leadershipDemonstrated proficiency in technical solutions, vendor product knowledge, managing vendor relations, and implementing solutionsStrong understanding of payments architecture, systems, and industry trendsAdvanced analytical reasoning skills, applying critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, and operational objectivesProven ability in leading through change, managing dependencies, and controlling change in high-pressure, shifting environmentsAdvanced expertise in stakeholder management, establishing productive relationships, and driving beneficial outcomes aligned with firm objectivesExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesProven experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
