Raytheon is looking for a full-time Principal Systems Engineer who will perform crucial systems engineering activities, including stakeholder interface, architecture development, trade studies, risk monitoring, test execution, and requirements development and sell-off. This role is essential for ensuring the coherent and timely maturation of key domain capabilities.
**What You Will Do**
+ Stakeholder & Customer Interface: The candidate shall interface with various stakeholders and customers to understand their needs and identify appropriate system solutions for a specific domain area.
+ Working Group Leadership: The candidate shall run a working group to host technical discussions and align on system solutions.
+ Architecture Development: The candidate shall develop CONOPs (Concepts of Operations) and system architecture for new capabilities.
+ Trade Studies: The candidate shall run trade studies to identify and recommend the best options, considering technical, cost, and schedule constraints.
+ Status & Risk Monitoring: The candidate shall monitor and understand the status and risk of capabilities currently in development.
+ Reporting: The candidate shall communicate status and risk to stakeholders and customers on a regular basis.
+ Test & Verification:
+ The candidate shall develop and execute system test plans.
+ The candidate shall conduct verification and/or validation of complex systems through test plan execution.
+ The candidate shall review test results for system capabilities.
+ The candidate shall conduct detailed analysis of results to the extent able, or clearly communicate analysis needs to the analyst team and put together final briefing packages for customers.
+ Requirements: The candidate shall perform requirement development and sell-off.
**Qualifications You Must Have**
+ Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
+ Experience with CONOPS development, requirements development/sell-off, test planning, and/or test data review.
**Qualifications We Prefer**
+ Ability to clearly communicate technical details with stakeholders, both internal and external organizations. Previous experience working with government customers is required.
+ Previous experience running a small team (1-3 others) to execute a test.
+ Familiarity with data analysis and Agile concepts.
+ Flexible, self-motivated, and curious.

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 224,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
