JOB TITLE: Principal System Engineer

JOB LOCATION: 211 S Akard St. Dallas, TX 75202

DUTIES: Responsible for translating the core architecture for business requirements into the final technical solution (platform, network, software, cloud, etc.) through functional, performance, and

reliability analysis using engineering models and techniques, primarily through software development throughout the vertical stack. Define designs. Provide technical enablement for application components and subsystems for an Application(s). Drive important design decisions for development team. Elaborate the design and interfaces for specific components including defining subsystems and their interfaces, allocating responsibilities to subsystems, understanding solution deployment, and communicating requirements for interactions with solution context. Align development teams to a shared technical direction and partner with those teams in elaborating the Solution and its interfaces. Validate technology assumptions and evaluate implementation alternatives. Establish critical NFRs at the solution level and participate in the definition of others. Create and enable the Continuous Delivery Pipeline including participating in planning, definition, and high-level design of the system solution and exploring alternatives. Develop the Architectural Runway in support of new business Features and Capabilities. Work with portfolio stakeholders and Solution and Enterprise Architects to develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of enablers. Participate in project planning, system and solution demos, and retrospective workshops. Understand technical characteristics of and assist with architectural integration of external components, systems, and platforms. Build sophisticated applications and APIs in Cloud and hybrid cloud environments at large scale in JavaScript and React JS. Work with high-volume websites and high-velocity transactions and design systems that can handle the demands of real-time or near-real-time data. Utilize observability tools including APM (Dynatrace, NewRelic) and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics). Identify and solve performance bottlenecks of web pages at 90th + percentile with under 3 seconds load time and apply understanding and practical application of networking architecture principles and security: caching and content delivery (CDN). Work with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud to architect and implement scalable, high performance, and efficient solutions. Utilize Synthetic Monitoring tools for analyzing and optimizing Front end performance metrics.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, or Electronic Engineering and 5 years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered, or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation building sophisticated applications and APIs in Cloud and hybrid cloud environments at large scale in JavaScript and React JS; working with high-volume websites and high-velocity transactions and designing systems that can handle the demands of real-time or near-real-time data; utilizing observability tools including APM (Dynatrace, NewRelic) and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics); identifying and solving performance bottlenecks of web pages at 90th + percentile with under 3 seconds load time and applying understanding and practical application of networking architecture principles and security: caching and content delivery (CDN); working with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud to architect and implement scalable, high performance, and efficient solutions; and utilizing Synthetic Monitoring tools for analyzing and optimizing Front end performance metrics.
