Our O&G operator client is seeking a Principal Subsea System Development Engineer to work within their facilities in Perth, Australia on a 12-months casual contract role.

SUMMARY ABOUT THE ROLE
Identify, coordinate and deliver key pre-development subsea technical studies to support Concept Select decisions, pre-FEED definition and Exploration & Farm-In opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in multi-discipline field development activities through explore, appraise and select stages. For relevant pre-development opportunities, establish and agree the subsea systems (all elements of SURF) studies Scope of Work, Cost Estimate and Plan with all relevant stakeholders Self perform technical work within discipline/ knowledge base where appropriate Coordinate internal and external resources (contractors) to deliver required concept select and/or pre-FEED studies, in order to meet project schedule and cost objectives Apply and interpret relevant technical specifications and standards in the execution of subsea systems related studies including flowlines, trees, manifolds, umbilicals and control systems design, manufacturing, installation, pre-commissioning, start-up, maintenance and inspection. Provide guidance and progress reporting on technical studies and manage delivery issues as they arise Provide input into Exploration & Farm-in opportunity evaluations, concept select reports, decision notes, pre-FEED technical reports, cost and schedule estimates and other project deliverables Prepare and present the technical subsea systems and installation scope and study results as part of peer and assurance reviews   REQUIREMENTS  15+ years industry experience (Principal technical or Team Lead) in multiple subsea facilities areas including flowlines, trees, manifolds and control systems and Project Delivery Familiar with subsea facilities specifications and standards. Familiar with market capabilities, industry trends and equipment qualification requirements Familiar with the impact of geotechnical, bathymetry and sea floor metocean conditions on  the design of subsea systems Able to work in early project stages with imperfect data and familiar with decision analysis techniques to support decision making Ability to identify novel approaches to subsea development opportunities. Demonstrated focus on and belief in improving HSE outcomes Highly motivated with proven project engineering skills of multidisciplined teams and in multicultural environments Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to liaise effectively with personnel at all levels of the organisation Patience, flexibility and an ability to adapt to changing circumstances Only accepting candidates with valid working rights in Australia
