Are you a hands-on procurement professional who thrives in a fast-paced, shop-floor environment? At Collins Aerospace, we’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. In this role you will execute processes, standards, and operational plans in support of procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and/or program execution.
As a Buyer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring material availability by authorizing purchase orders, approving payments, and responding to client issues to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly. You’ll use your strong negotiation skills and tenacity to push for results and overcome roadblocks to ensure the program can stay on track to meet its commitments. Whether it’s escalating delays, asking for help, or challenging supplier responses, you’ll bring the persistence and follow-through needed to get things done. **What You Will Do**
+ Executes processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and / or program execution.
+ Approves and qualifies vendors to fulfill account needs.
+ Responds to client issues or problems.
+ Authorizes purchase orders and approves payments to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.
+ Analyzes and reviews price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.
+ Prepares and reviews request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
+ Analyzes and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
+ Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
+ This position may travel up to 15% to support program and team needs.
**Qualifications You Must Have**
+ Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
**Qualifications We Prefer**
+ SAP Experience
+ Technical aptitude with ability to read and understand engineering drawings and complex manufacturing processes
+ Process Improvement experience
+ Aerospace Industry experience
+ Microsoft Office to include excel, pivot tables, Tableau, PowerPoint
+ Experience in procuring a variety of commodities.
+ Experience with negotiations and/or ability to engage in difficult conversions.

The salary range for this role is 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
