As Microsoft's Cloud business continues to grow the ability to deploy new offerings and HW infrastructure on time, in high volume with high quality and lowest cost is of paramount importance. To achieve this goal, the Hardware, Infrastructure Management, and Fundamentals Engineering (HIFE) team is instrumental in defining and delivering operational measures of success for Cloud infrastructure reliability, improving the planning process, manufacturing, quality, delivery at scale, serviceability and sustainability. We are looking for a Serviceability Engineer with a strong passion for learning and embracing customer focused solutions, developing insight and industry knowledge to envision and implement future technical solutions that will optimize the Cloud infrastructure and its serviceability.

We are looking for a Principal Serviceability Engineer to lead and influence Design for Serviceability (DFS) and Design for Integration (DFI) strategies across SCHIE and Operations organizations as part of NPI program execution. You will mentor engineers on design principles, lead serviceability design and tool development, and champion service procedures, tooling, and spares readiness with ODM, Microsoft design and datacenter partners. This role emphasizes building organizational fundamentals in serviceability engineering by leveraging experience and cross‑team collaboration while supporting Microsoft’s cloud‑scale hardware programs.
