Focus on flavor research through scientific exploration while having a global reach in the beverage world. Responsibilities Advance the flavor research platform to drive the development & application of flavors in support of global business growth. Drive creation of sweet, citrus & other flavor categories to unlock improved taste quality. Exhibit end to end thinking in developing flavors for strategic business initiatives. Work closely with flavorists, product development, regulatory & other PepsiCo functions, as well as external partners, as necessary to drive deeper understanding of flavor science and taste modulation. Experienced at experimental design, data collection and analysis as well as strategic/logical thinking. Able to test new materials for use in flavors and well as applying state of the art research to flavor development. Communication skills for presenting scientific information to target audiences across levels. Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $1,06,400 - $1,78,100. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement. Qualifications M.S. with a minimum of 5 years experience in Chemistry, Food Science or related STEM discipline, 3-5 years in flavor area. PhD or Post-doc in food & flavor science, preferred. SFC apprentice or certified optional. Strong track records of leading experimental design & scientific learning - natural materials and modulation experience preferred. Well-developed critical thinking skills required to solve technical problems utilizing standard research methodology. Technology & computational skills are required.
