We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Supply Chain and Manufacturing Product Manager - Technical, with deep expertise in SAP Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and Warehouse Operations. This role will drive the digital transformation of our manufacturing operations, bridging the gap between shop floor execution and enterprise systems.
The Principal Product Manager Technical will be responsible for developing comprehensive product roadmaps that align manufacturing technology solutions with business objectives, market trends, and operational excellence goals. You will work closely with manufacturing operations, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimization, prioritize features, and ensure seamless integration across our manufacturing technology ecosystem. This position demands hands-on experience with discrete manufacturing processes, SAP system implementations, and the ability to translate complex operational requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Key job responsibilities
• Develop and execute product strategy, vision, and roadmaps for manufacturing technology solutions supporting both in-house and outsourced manufacturing operations

• Collaborate with manufacturing operations leaders, system users, and key stakeholders to identify pain points, system gaps, and requirements for scaling production capacity

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of business and customer requirements across the manufacturing value chain, from materials management through quality control and warehouse operations

• Lead tool assessments, design workshops, and proof-of-concept development for new manufacturing technologies and SAP module enhancements

• Partner with PMTs, TPMs, engineering teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment of product roadmap with enterprise architecture and business priorities

• Drive active participation in System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) creation, and end-user training to ensure successful product adoption

• Lead and contribute to weekly operational reviews and monthly business reviews with executive leadership (technical and non-technical audiences)

• Define, track, and analyze adoption metrics and KPIs to identify opportunities for product improvements, process optimization, and targeted training interventions

• Serve as the primary liaison between shop floor operations and enterprise systems teams, ensuring manufacturing requirements are accurately captured and implemented

A day in the life
You'll split time between manufacturing floor engagement and strategic planning. Daily, you'll shadow operators executing SAP transactions—from material requisitions through production orders, quality inspections, and warehouse operations—identifying system gaps and inefficiencies. You'll facilitate discovery sessions with diverse stakeholders (operators, quality engineers, supply chain planners) to distill clear requirements balancing immediate needs with scalability. Working with SAP engineering teams, you'll review technical designs, understand build complexity, and deployment schedules. You'll lead weekly product syncs and monthly executive business reviews, bridging shop floor realities with C-suite priorities through metrics-driven storytelling and ROI analysis.
