Overview
We are currently recruiting a Principal RAMS Engineer to work on an exciting rail infrastructure megaproject. The role requires someone with expert level experience across Safety Assurance AND RAM delivery on notable rail construction programs.
Knowledge of the following rail technology and interfaces will be highly desirable: Civil Works and Tunnelling packages, Station Construction and related Station Systems including Fire Protection Systems HVAC Platform Screen Doors CCTV Signalling and Comms Systems, Train Control Power + Traction Rolling Stock Location- Sydney (Preferable) or Brisbane - Must be currently based in either city
Duration- Permanent, Full-time
Salary- $180,000 - $190,000 + Super

Responsibilities Execute Safety Assurance and RAM activities across major rail projects Lead tender, planning, work-winning and overall customer engagement Ensure life cycle safety assurance and compliance with relevant codes and standards incl. 61508, ISO 15288 and EN5012x Coordinate delivery of hazard and safety in design activities, assessments, and reporting Guide projects through safety approvals and certifications processes. SIL Assessments Develop Safety Cases and SFAIRP arguments in support of design type, testing and commissioning approvals, representing arguments to stakeholders such as regulatory bodies, operations, asset maintainers Utilise FMEA and FMECAs to assess reliability, availability and maintainability Experienced in producing RAM Plans, RAM Modelling, RAM Analyses techniques (Reliability Block Diagrams, FMECA, Availability predictions, Defect Liability Period Planning, MTTR etc) Communicate findings with key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner Required Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Civil or similar 12+ years SESA / RAM experience, ideally within rail projects Knowledge of relevant standards: EN 50126/8/9 IEC 61508 IEC 62267 ISO 15288 Understanding of full Systems Engineering V-Lifecycle / INCOSE handbook standards Familiarity with Reliability software such as Isograph (AWB or RWB) or Reliasoft Proficiency in producing RAM techniques, FMEA, FMECA, RBD, FTA, DLP, FRACAS etc Knowledge of industry standards (AAR, AREMA, IEEE, CENELEC) Australian Working Rights – Permanent Resident or Citizen What’s on offer Healthy pipeline of city-shaping, blue-chip transport projects Growing SESA team, based locally Friendly team culture Career development opportunities Financial support for professional memberships / training Please hit apply and contact michael.ogborne@airswift.com or 0448 220 849 for more information.
