What Research and Development Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health
Engineering is responsible for performing research and analyses to develop design options for components, products, systems and processes. Specifically, Embedded and laptop software design, development, testing and documentation.
Research and Development Engineering is responsible for developing and implementing new products through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering and documentation practices.
This is a hybrid position in the Hazelwood, MO facility.
Responsibilities
Build and test prototype software of new products in line with regulatory standards and write associated product development reports and supporting documentation.
Troubleshoots various issues that arise pertaining to concept designs and production products through testing and computer-based statistical analysis.
Assists the research and development process for various mid and long-term projects (1.5 – 3 years) to ensure profitable investment.
Interacts with external personnel on significant cross-functional programs
The ability to research legacy projects for possible update to end of life parts
Qualifications
4-8 years of experience, preferred
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
Strong C language skills
Strong RTOS (Real Time Operating System) experience
Strong C# language skills for developing and maintaining tools preferred
Strong Knowledge of networking and servers is a plus
Strong Knowledge of cyber security is a plus

Anticipated salary range: $93,500 - $133,600
