We are looking to hire and expereinced Principal Proposal Manager.
Summarized Purpose:
The Principal Proposal Manager will drrive the proposal management processes in alignment with commercial strategy and cross-functional and executive contributors to utilize strategic expertise and develop crisp and compelling proposals focused on client solutions that reflect the company's commercial and operational strategy. They will be primarily responsible for oversight and creation of RFPs and supplemental documents for complex, multi-region, multi-service clinical development projects/programs, complex RFIs, partnership and prospective selling initiatives and related client deliverables. Ensures all documents align appropriately with the operational strategy and budget, completed within appropriate timelines and quality standards.
**Essential Functions:**
- Leads complex proposal opportunities that require more than one proposal manager.
- Conducts expert analysis with the intention to present findings.
- Strategizes creation of content and directs team members in the creation of appropriate material.
- Works with the operational strategy lead and executive management to ensure the proposal strategy is achieved and increases hit rate.
- Provides expert knowledge throughout process up to and including the client decision, encompassing bid defense preparation and any other deliverables related to the opportunity.
- Leads the development and implementation of appropriate process changes, process improvements, and corporate initiatives.
- Trains, coaches, and mentors newer or more junior members of the team.
**Education and Experience:**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 12+ years).
- In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**
- Expert knowledge of clinical development process, including functional operations, medical terminology, regulatory guidelines, computer graphics, and directives across full spectrum of development activities
- Proven ability to influence and communicate strategy with individuals at all levels of the organization, key internal clients, and outside vendors
- Proven project management skills with ability to lead and mentor others
- Expertise in several therapeutic areas with ability to work across areas when workload warrants
- Ability to handle multiple priorities while still delivering high quality results with special attention to detail
- Ability to apply excellent interpersonal, organizational, and negotiation skills in order to influence and make impactful decisions
- Influential expertise in sales and marketing strategy
- Ability to proactively identify areas for improvement, support strategy for change, and lead resulting initiatives
- Excellent financial acumen as related to business and operational strategy.
