Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Project Coordinator to join our team! In this role you will get to work closely with a dynamic project team to deliver and implement construction, radio and fiber systems for rail, bus and emergency services.

What You'll Be Doing:

The Principal Project Coordinator will provide high-level coordination, documentation oversight, and administrative support to facilitate the successful delivery of Two-Way Radio Systems construction and implementation projects. The role supports all phases of the project lifecycle and ensures compliance with scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements. This individual will work closely with the Task Manager, project management team, contractors, and internal/external stakeholders on a daily basis.

Project Documentation & Controls:Maintain and update project records in the project management systems (e.g., Procore, SharePoint).Track and manage submittals, RFIs, schedules, field reports, contract documents, and design packages.Ensure documentation is accurate, up to date, and compliant with internal and contractual standards.Construction Coordination & Field Oversight:Monitor daily construction activities, identify operational impacts or discrepancies, and communicate updates to the Task Manager.Coordinate construction scopes, assist in schedule development, and support field resolution efforts.Meetings & Reporting:Organize project meetings, prepare agendas, capture meeting minutes, and monitor action items.Support the generation of project dashboards and status reports, including progress on key milestones, budget, and schedule.Contract Administration:Assist with contractor payment reviews and verification of compliance with DBE and Buy America requirements.Help prepare punch lists and participate in inspections at key construction milestones.Logistics & Procurement Support:Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and construction teams to track delivery, inspection, certification, and invoicing for equipment and materials.Risk, Change & Quality Management:Support change control processes, risk tracking, and resolution of design/field issues.Perform quality assurance reviews of project documentation and ensure alignment with regulatory and contract requirements.Other Duties:Perform other project-related duties as assigned by the Task Manager to support successful delivery and coordination.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related field. Equivalent experience is acceptable.Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in engineering, construction, or infrastructure project coordination, with at least six (6) years in document control or construction/project management.Proficiency with project management and document control systems such as Procore, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).Demonstrated experience in schedule tracking, cost management, and project controls.Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder coordination skills.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.Must be able to pass a government background check.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

One (1) or more years of experience on transit, rail, or transportation infrastructure projects.Project Management certifications such as PMP or CAPM.Experience working with public-sector transportation agencies.Familiarity with federal procurement processes, DBE and Buy America requirements.Understanding of safety, permitting, and operational procedures within active transit environments.

Salary Range: $72,900.00 - $127,600.00
