In this role, you will lead enterprise governance of technology vendors, contracts, and spend within GETS. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Operations & Strategy, you will own the strategy and execution for a multi-million-dollar technology spend portfolio encompassing hundreds of contracts across software, infrastructure, and third-party services. 

You will drive strong financial discipline, vendor governance, and third-party risk management, while enabling data-driven decisions through tooling, automation, and executive-level reporting. To be successful, you will have the ability to operate in a highly matrixed global environment and to influence leaders across Technology, Security, Finance, and Procurement.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

 

Technology Vendor & Contract Strategy 

Own end-to-end strategy for technology vendor management, including contract lifecycle, renewals, performance, and optimization.  Govern a multi-million-dollar portfolio of technology spend and hundreds of active vendor contracts.  Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align vendor strategy to enterprise standards and priorities.  Lead portfolio planning for renewals, consolidations, rationalization, and vendor exits. 

 

Technology Spend Rationalization 

Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining service quality, resilience, and security.  Establish transparency, forecasting, and reporting for technology vendor spend.  Support annual and multi-year financial planning and investment decisions.  Enable informed tradeoff discussions balancing cost, risk, and value. 

 

Third-Party Risk, Supply Chain & Continuity 

Provide governance oversight for third-party and supply chain risk related to technology vendors.  Partner with Security, Risk, Compliance, and Business Continuity teams to ensure resiliency and regulatory alignment.  Oversee vendor continuity planning and remediation tracking for vulnerabilities, audits, and risk findings.  Ensure timely escalation and executive visibility for high-risk vendor issues. 

 

Technology Governance Council 

Serve as an active member of the Technology Governance Council.  Provide input on vendor strategy, contract structures, spend management, and risk considerations.  Ensure Council decisions are operationalized and tracked through vendor governance processes. 

 

Governance, Metrics & Executive Reporting 

Establish governance frameworks, metrics, and reporting for vendor performance, spend, and risk.  Prepare and present executive-level materials for senior leaders and governance forums.  Clearly communicate complex financial, contractual, and risk topics.  Drive follow-up actions from governance decisions, vulnerability testing, and risk reviews. 

 

Tooling, Automation & Continuous Improvement 

Lead automation and tooling strategy for vendor governance and planning.  Continuously improve processes, SOPs, and data quality.  Drive standardization and scalable vendor management practices. 

 

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

 

You’ll have a Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related preferred), or equivalent 10+ years of experience in technology program management, vendor governance, sourcing, or portfolio management.  Proven ownership of multi-million-dollar technology spend portfolios and complex vendor ecosystems.  Strong experience in contract strategy, spend optimization, and governance models.  Experience with third-party risk, supply chain resilience, and continuity planning.  Executive-level communication and presentation skills.  Experience leveraging automation and tooling for planning and governance.  Ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed organization. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

Experience in large, global technology or shared services organizations.  Familiarity with software asset management, vendor management, or financial planning tools.  Understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory considerations impacting technology vendors.  Experience supporting enterprise governance councils.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. The compensation for this role is USD $98,000.00 - USD $198,800.00 / Year*
