In this role, you'll drive product strategy and execution for AWS's integration services, including Amazon EventBridge and AWS Step Functions, helping customers build modern, scalable, and resilient applications.

The AWS serverless group is looking for a Principal Product Manager to be part of the Vancouver-based Application Integration team growing AWS Step Functions and Amazon EventBridge.

As part of the team you will:
- Own and drive the long-term vision and strategy for AWS's application integration services
- Partner with engineering leadership to define and execute the technical roadmap
- Gather and analyze customer feedback, market research, and competitive intelligence to inform product decisions
- Work backwards from customer needs to launch new features that simplify building distributed systems
- Author documents relating to product life cycle including product roadmap, business requirements and functional specifications.
- Work collaboratively with Engineering as an advocate for the needs of our customers
- Evaluate industry innovations and technology platforms and identify partnership and collaboration opportunities
- Build strong relationships with enterprise customers and partners to understand their integration challenges
- Drive product launches and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with marketing teams
- Mentor other product managers and help raise the bar for product management across AWS

What does it take to succeed in this role? Excitement in finding new ways to help a developer do things more efficiently or faster. A deep empathy for developer challenges, balanced with a strategic understanding of business objectives and be creative enough to help define what we build. Demonstrated experience leading developer facing platform efforts, and a strong technical background with familiarity with large scale systems. Someone with exceptional communication skills to manage the large degree of external interaction with customers and partners the role needs.
