Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior or Principal Product Development Engineer with deep expertise in catheter development to join their innovative medical device team. This is an opportunity to serve as a technical lead on complex projects, driving the design, prototyping, and development of cutting-edge catheter-based solutions for a variety of clinical applications.

Job Title:  Senior Product Development Engineer
Location:  Fridley, MN
Salary:  120-140k

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of catheter systems from concept through commercialization. Serve as a technical authority, providing guidance to cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers. Develop and refine prototypes using a variety of materials, processes, and manufacturing methods. Conduct design reviews, evaluate performance, and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Collaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and clinical teams to deliver innovative and manufacturable designs. Drive problem-solving efforts and implement design improvements throughout the development cycle.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). 8+ years of product development experience in the medical device industry, with significant expertise in catheter design and manufacturing. Proven track record of leading complex product development projects from concept to launch. Strong hands-on prototyping skills with a variety of fabrication methods and materials.
