  Responsible for ensuring products, equipment, materials, etc. are designed and developed to the highest standard.  Defines and establishes design constraints.  Conceives and plans engineering development and feasibility studies.  Collaborates with management to define technical needs.  Conceives programs, sets goals and identifies problems to be investigated  Continuous promotion of and, adherence to the discipline specific procedures and providing feedback for continuous improvement.  Support the development and delivery of the technical assurance framework.  Participate in or lead incident investigations as required.  Management of key stakeholders in the execution and delivery of contracted activities. Providing world-class discipline expertise  Serves as an advisor to other technical personnel.  Leads workshops such as Hazop, Safop, Constructibility, Peer Review, Hazid, etc.  Works with project groups as an expert technical advisor on designs, processes, and engineering methods.
