Principal Portfolio Manager (Hybrid)

The Principal Portfolio Manager for Acute Care OEM/Specialty defines and drives the long‑term portfolio and OEM partnership strategy, ensuring the business stays ahead of market shifts and competitive pressures. It blends deep market insight with strategic execution, turning unmet needs and emerging trends into actionable growth opportunities. Success comes from leading the full product lifecycle while building strong cross‑functional alignment across R&D, Clinical Affairs, Marketing, and Operations. A critical focus is anticipating future technology and capability needs through close collaboration with R&D and external manufacturing partners. Ultimately, this position shapes category direction, optimizes performance, and positions the portfolio for sustained commercial impact.

What you will do:

Develop and lead OEM and contract manufacturing partnerships to support specialty/furniture product lines and strengthen long‑term portfolio competitiveness.Define, communicate, and execute portfolio and specialty/furniture category strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and market opportunities.Continuously analyze markets, competitors, and emerging trends to anticipate shifts, guide strategic decision‑making, and adjust portfolio direction proactively.Identify unmet customer needs and emerging customer segments, translating qualitative and quantitative insights into actionable product and service opportunities.Lead end‑to‑end product lifecycle management, from concept through obsolescence, ensuring rigorous forecasting, pricing alignment, and lifecycle planning.Partner closely with R&D to anticipate future technology and capability needs, shape strategic innovation, and ensure product development aligns with long‑term market direction.Collaborate cross‑functionally, including Clinical Affairs, Marketing, Sales, and Operations, to drive cohesive execution of strategy, evidence generation, customer acquisition/retention, and market expansion.Establish performance standards and evaluate business outcomes, leveraging benchmarks, channel performance data, and KPIs to refine strategy and maximize portfolio impact.


What you need:

Required
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum 8 years of related work experience required

Preferred:
• MBA preferred
• Minimum 5 years medical device or marketing experience preferred
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)

Travel Percentage: 40%
