Strategic Sourcing is seeking a **Principle** or **Sr. Principle Engineer Operations Program** that works directly with Programs and Capture Teams to lead the long-term development of supplier Printed Wiring Boards and Advanced Packaging strategies to meet our system-based Operations requirements. This position will be in Baltimore or Linthicum, MD in office 2-3 times per week.
**What You’ll Get To Do:**
+ Develops Product Line Supplier Maturation and Development Strategies to reduce lead time and improve affordability
+ Establish and drive Sector/program supplier development strategy (new or alternate supplier identification/incubation, affordability initiatives, capability/capacity development, etc.)
+ Assists with technology strategy and business case development for sourcing evaluations (second/alternate sourcing)
+ Provides insight on cost concerns with current supplier technical solutions
+ Provides technical insight into current technical gaps/issues in designs and develops maturation plans
+ Gather and leverage sector-level forecasts to drive informed decisions
+ Leads Strategic Sourcing initiatives to reduce risk for Product Line execution
+ Early engagement with Engineering teams to recommend design improvements to produce lower cost/higher performing products
+ Direct alignment/engagement with Capture Teams to lead Supply Chain Capture strategies
This position can be hired at either the Principal level or the Sr. level Principal level.
Basic Requirements for Principal Engineer Operations Program:
+ Minimum of 5 Years of Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing and/or related experience with Bachelors in STEM degree; Minimum of 3 Years of Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing and/or related experience with Masters Degree
+ Experience with Printed Wiring Boards and/or Advanced Packaging Technology
+ Ability for 25% domestic travel
Preferred Requirements for Principal Engineer Operations Program:
+ US Citizen
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Basic Requirements for Sr. Principal Engineer Operations Program:
+ Minimum of 8 Years of Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing and/or related experience with Bachelors in STEM degree; Minimum of 6 Years of Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing and/or related experience with Masters Degree
+ Experience with Printed Wiring Boards and/or Advanced Packaging Technology
+ Ability for 25% domestic travel
Preferred Requirements for Sr. Principal Engineer Operations Program:
+ US Citizen
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Primary Level Salary Range: $95,800.00 - $143,600.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $119,200.00 - $178,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
