About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Engineer to join our Secure Network Services (SNS) Organization as part of our Automation & Innovation Team. This team drives Load balancing, Web Application Firewall, Micro-segmentation and associated Automation strategies for Secure Network Services

In this role, you will:

Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groupsLead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinkingTranslate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutionsProvide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutionsMaintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organizationStrategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in load balancing technologies (server side load balancing & GSLB) with vendors like F5, AVI, A10, NetScaler, AWS ELB, Azure Load balancer5+ years of GSLB Services in Software as a Service (SaaS) providers5+ years of designing and delivery micro-segmentation solutions5+ years of advanced scripting experience using Ansible, Terraform, Python, YAML, Java, or PL-SQL5+ years of experience developing and using RESTful Application Program Interface (API)5+ years of experience with Linux OS environment2-5+ years of experience with source version control using GitHub or similarExperience with creating and or updating technical design documentation used by engineering teams Agile methodology experienceKnowledge/Skills/Ability to identify key issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate effectively through resolutionExperience working in a large enterprise environmentBS/BA degree or higher in information technology or equivalent work experience acceptedStrong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skillExperience with information security and risk management including policy and standards, information security assessment, security best practices, and mitigation solution design and implementationStrategic planning experience in translating leadership vision into executable strategies and initiativesAbility to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and managementAbility to manage initiatives including detailed planning, process management, and documentationExperience in process Improvement (6 Sigma), solution implementation, and change management

Job Expectations:

Provide technical direction, envision, document and champion target state associated with developing the right Network solutions across all Network Systems.Advise leadership on complex technical solutions.Lead resolution of complex challenges by developing strategic, secure, scalable, and resilient engineering solutions.Assist on mitigating risk for the enterprise by proactively addressing capacity problems or system related issues under guidance of Network Services Management, as well as Wells Fargo enterprise standards and policies.Assist teams in technical problem resolution. The ideal candidate will have expertise in architecting and designing solutions that promote reusability, scalability, efficiency and resiliency and possess strong communication skills to articulate the proposed solutions with both technical and business partners
