Serco is seeking a Principal Military Trainer - Information Operations Scenario Writer/ Scripter to join our growing team of diverse professionals supporting our Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.  The MCTP trains Division, and Corps Commanders and their staff during simulation-driven command post Warfighter Exercises (WFX) in support of Large-Scale Combat Operations and across Multi-Domain Operations.

 

The Information Operations Scenario Writer assists with training during Mission Rehearsals and Warfighters (WFX) in Large-Scale Combat Operations (LSCO) with subject matter expertise integrating Information Operation (IO) tasks of collection, analysis, and dissemination into WFXs to ensure that military commanders and other senior leaders have the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage IO Scenario writing, planning, and execution.  Support includes developing storyline injects and the capability to adjust Master Scenario Event Lists (MSELs), ensuring proper realistic injects.

In this role, you will:

Coordinates with the Higher Command (HICOM) Cell to maintain a credible and coordinated exercise scenario, and coordinates and integrates all IO actions not accomplished in the simulation with the Scenario Design Division (SDD), or through established WorkaroundsMaintains a database capable of showing all aspects of IO as employed in the exercise and updates the database to reflect changesDevelop a draft IO plan for each exercise and provides the responsible Government exercise planner a monthly listing of changes to the planProvides a coordinated draft IO Annex (STARTEX MOA) prior to execution of the exercise for review by the Scenario Design ChiefAdvises the IO and develop draft IO events recommended for inclusion in the Road to War for the Scenario Design to present to the Exercise DirectorMaintains and develops a robust, multi-platform social media environment within the Information Operations Network (ION) Qualifications

To be Successful in this role, you will have:

One of the following:High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years of professional leadership experienceBachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of professional leadership experienceMaster’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of professional leadership experienceExperience working with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) or Interagency/Joint environmentsFamiliar with current Army doctrineHighly proficient with MS Office software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access) and Adobe Acrobat ProHighly proficient at operating across social media platformsMust be able to travel as needed both CONUS and OCONUS (up to 25% of the time)Must have an active DoD Secret security clearanceMust be able to work on-site at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas

 

Additional desired experience and skills: 

Recent experience supporting current U.S. DoD operations Army Command and General Staff Officer Course, or MEL 4 equivalent Intermediate Level Education (ILE)An active DoD Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearanceSuperb interpersonal and communication skills, as well as professionalismExperience in Information Operations, Marketing, Public Affairs, Psychological Operations, and Intelligence
