What You'll Do:

This position has the primary responsibility to develop advanced algorithms and software solutions to support converged network planning across fiber and wireless.

For the metro transport network, this position will lead the Artemis L1 modeling to determine the optimal routing path among tiered central offices to minimize the cost holistically for each market. Advanced optimization and AI algorithms will be developed to decide the locations and degrees of openROADMs.For the core transport network, this position will support the development of critical new features for the path computation engine (Hawkeye PCE) which determines the optimal routing across AT&T's long-haul network, including the integration with OCODON.

What You'll Bring:

The successful candidate must have proven track record in developing advanced fiber network routing algorithms with expert domain knowledge in optimization (AMPL, CPLEX, etc).In addition, the candidate must demonstrate expert proficiency in C/C++ programming and AL/ML algorithms.

What You'll Need:

PhD in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or Masters in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or a Bachelors in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.Experience with the following: AMPL, CPLEX, mixed integer programming, 5G wireless Networks, AI/M, C/C++, Linux OS, ROADM, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Optical Fibers, Network Routing. IP Routing, Wireless Networks.

Our Principal Member of Technical Staff, earns between $180,200-$270,400 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.

Environmental Requirements:
