Principal IT commodity Manager
Description Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Commodity Manager - Indirect Procurement to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of indirect services and goods (e.g., corporate services and/or other non-IT categories). The candidate will develop and implement sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships. (Corporate services- HR, Contracts, Agencies) Responsibilities + Develop and implement sourcing strategies for a broad range of indirect services and goods + Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure the best possible pricing and terms + Manage supplier relationships to ensure that they meet or exceed performance expectations + Identify opportunities for OpEx and CapEx cost savings and process improvements + Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that procurement activities align with business objectives + Manage and report on savings KPIs + Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures For immediate consideration please call me directly 508-205-2127 Eric Lebow Requirements Keys: + Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in a related area of Supply Chain, Finance, Business Management preferred. (Degree would be nice to see, but if the candidate has 10+ years of experience and no BA/BS please share) 5+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain (PMP/LEAN a HUGE plus) Flexible to Support “new commodities” + Indirect sourcing strategy is a must have. This is not a “buying role”. If the candidate needs to ask what “indirect” sourcing is, they are not the right candidate + Ability to deal directly with CxO level in negotiations and discussions. Ability to Redline contracts. + Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills. Also strong to advanced MS Excel. Any experience and exposure to ERP systems and a huge plus if there is experience with implementations experience. System skills to include: SAP Ariba (WBN, not mandatory) + Strong people sills, communication skills and comfortable in a performance driven environment!
