C.H. Robinson is expanding the team in Sweden and seeking a Principal Global Forwarding Agent- Air export to join our Global Forwarding division.

As a Global Forwarding Agent, you will be your customers’ primary contact responsible for managing and operating the shipment lifecycle of their global freight.  A successful Global Forwarding Agent thrives in a lightning-fast environment, finding swift resolutions to transportation and documentation problems. You’ll be very hands-on with your customers, working closely with them from the start of the shipment process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

Apply industry knowledge to adapt processes, solve challenges, and drive operational excellenceExecute and coordinate shipments while mentoring others on meeting customer SOP requirementsEnsure data accuracy for all customer shipments, including documentation, routing, and complianceSupport audits, manage invoicing tasks, and uphold operational integrity and complianceAct as the first point of escalation for issues, ensuring prompt and thorough resolutionCoach team members on pricing strategies and process improvementsBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers, agents, and service providersParticipate in new business implementations and ensure SOPs are up to dateMonitor customer shipment trends and identify operational impacts or improvement opportunitiesSupport cross-functional teams, technology adoption, customer visits, and reporting for sales teams

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

High school diploma3-5 years of Global Forwarding industry experienceAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs

Preferred:

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field6-8 years of Global Forwarding industry experienceExtensive industry and department knowledge (process & handling, regulations, international shipping, etc.)Excellent communication and customer service skillsProactive, ambitious, hardworking, analytical mindsetPositive leadership skills and presence within the team (positive attitude, team player, flexibility)Strong prioritization and multi-tasking skillsHigh level of flexibility as priorities and needs change daily in our businessCritical-thinking and problem-solving skills to meet customer and business objectives both short-term and long-termHigh level of attention to detail and ability to execute with 95% of higher monthly audit compliance and very minimal unbillable chargesValues a diverse and inclusive work environment
