The Quantum Systems team is seeking a **Principal Engineering Planning Coordinator** to drive bottoms-up planning and execution across mechanical and cryogenic engineering for a large-scale quantum computer. You’ll define workstreams, set milestones, manage vendor execution, and create clear, reliable status visibility across our hardware portfolio. Lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees may verify status using other documents, where applicable. + Ability to work in an "AI first" environment using modern AI tools to accelerate discovery through hardware development. + Familiarity with designing and building AI agents/copilots that assist with experiment setup, log triage, measurement report generation, protocol templating, and knowledge retrieval (e.g. instrument manuals, design docs). **Additional or** **Preferred** **Qualifications** + Background in cryogenic systems or ultra-low temperature physics. + Track record of vendor management and cross-functional coordination. + Proven ability to define and manage workstreams, milestones, and complex multi-team schedules. + Communication skills and ability to coordinate across engineering, vendors, and leadership teams. + Experience deploying and scaling Atlassian Confluence in engineering organizations. + Proficiency with program management tools. Quantum Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
