As a Principal Engineer, you will support electronic subsystem developments through individual contribution and teamwork. The qualified candidate will lead assigned developments ranging from conceptual design to validation testing and commercial release. Support for released designs will also be in scope which include customer training, troubleshooting/diagnostics and maintenance. The position will also include opportunities for leadership responsibilities in a team of early and mid-career engineers.
As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Leading a team of early to mid-career electrical engineers on electrical developments of medium to high complexity.Capturing electrical design specifications, generating requirements, executing design and design validation followed by commercial releaseParticipating actively in electrical design as well as mentoring less experienced team membersInterfacing technically with multinational and cross-functional teams both internal and with the customer.Sharing knowledge gained in projects through updating documentation and best-practice improvementsDesired Electrical Skills
A successful candidate will have good coverage of the following skills:
Experience in an electrical lab with Oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers, meters, etc for testing and debugging electrical circuits and systems.Medium power (>100W) DC-DC power conversion and motor controlData acquisition using ADCsSmall to medium Microcontrollers from TI C2000/MSP430 family or similar Exposure to embedded firmware development is a plus.IC level component selection and schematic development in Altium Designer 16 or higherFamiliarity with PCBA ordering and assembly process to support purchasing of boardsFamiliarity with proper lab soldering techniques to support modification of PCBAsSubsystem wiring harness designProfessional engineering documentation of design and procedures
