From take-off to landing, Thales offers the most complete range of solutions to provide dynamic Air Traffic Services to support today's growing domestic and international travel requirements. Utilising this knowledge and experience Thales Australia will deliver a harmonised Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (OneSKY) in Australia to Airservices Australia and Defence. 

This will enable a new level of safety and efficiency, while also reducing delays for the travelling public and providing opportunities to improve environmental outcomes. OneSKY will transform Australia’s sky and we are proud to be partners in its delivery.

Your role:

Based between the World Trade Centre Melbourne and Melbourne International Airport, your role will be to drive secure, automated software delivery across Air Mobility Solution (AMS)

Lead, mentor, and support the DevSecOps culture, mindset, and implementation at Thales 

Leverage automated delivery pipelines for efficient software build and automated deployment across AMS 

Provide technical and transformational leadership to DevOps teams during CICD pipeline transformation programs 

Establish and maintain automation and traceability for final product deployment 

Collaborate closely with CI/CD solution leads, architects, software and system engineering, and delivery teams 

Identify existing gaps, propose improvements, and drive implementation solutions 

Utilize and build strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and leadership experience gained from leading multiple DevSecOps teams

Requirements:

Proven leadership as a Lead DevOps Engineer with solid DevSecOps experience

Expertise with CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory) and automation (Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes)

Proficient in Linux/Unix, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

A Defence security clearance is required for this role; applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
