This position is in an office environment with a hybrid work schedule. Eligible employees can work from home up to one day each week.


How You’ll Make an Impact

Design, implement, monitor and troubleshoot cloud systems within your assigned areasDefine strategy, roadmaps and reference architectures for cloud workloads including network, security, data and applicationsBuild and optimize tools for automated deployment, implement DevOps pipelines and collaborate with engineering teams to streamline and simplify deployment and resolve production issuesDevelop and deploy new modules, upgrades, and fixes within production environmentsServe as a specialist for performance and reliability, solving design challenges and developing specialized skillsetsArticulate recommendations for enhancing performance through gap analysis, identifying practical alternatives and assisting with modificationsDrive improvements in capacity, reliability, availability, monitoring, and performance of Spectrum’s core systemsCreate well-documented, flexible code in Spectrum’s standard programming languagesDesign intuitive interfaces for DevOps tool stacks that feature clear navigationEvaluate and introduce technologies that enhance efficiency, performance, and reliabilityWork closely with team members and operations to advance DevOps methodologyProvide comprehensive documentation support for developers and testersAdapt objectively to iterative changes and evolving technology requirements

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Experience

7+ years software engineering experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python5-8 years DevOps engineering experience4-5 years automating CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins or Argo and managing blue/green and canary deployments2-3 years using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or Bicep and GitOps workflows2-3 years working with Helm and Kubernetes management tools including ArgoCD, EKS or GKE2-3 years working with AWS, Azure, GCP and hybrid integration with on-premises systems

Ability to write clear technical documentation for developers and testersSkill in managing multiple assignments under limited directionAbility to identify and resolve highly complex issuesExperience building consensus with leadership and implementation teamsEffective verbal and written communicationStrong analytical and troubleshooting abilitiesThorough understanding of software engineering and object-oriented design principlesFront-end development expertise across Java, mobile apps and web technologiesFamiliarity with Maven and Ant for dependency management and build systemsExpert knowledge of open source software including Angular or React
