You’ll collaborate with world-class experts across domains to build high-impact digital solutions that accelerate research, streamline operations, and empower better patient outcomes. You will lead the design and implementation of scalable data infrastructure. You’ll collaborate across teams to build robust data platforms, develop pipelines, and drive integration efforts. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership, as you guide a team of engineers and help shape the Amgen's data strategy. **Responsibilities will include:** + Provide expert guidance and mentorship to the data engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and standard processes. + Design, develop, and implement robust data architectures and platforms to support business objectives. + Oversee the development and optimization of data pipelines, and data integration solutions. + Establish and maintain data governance policies and standards to ensure data quality, security, and compliance. + Architect and manage cloud-based data solutions, using AWS or other preferred platforms. + Lead and motivate a hard-working data engineering team to deliver exceptional results. + Identify, analyze, and resolve complex data-related challenges. + Work closely with business partners to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. + Stay abreast of emerging data technologies and explore opportunities for innovation. **WIN** **WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU** We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The tech professional we seek is a creative problem-solver and a team player with these qualifications: **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering preferred, other Engineering field is considered; Master’s degree and 6+ years' experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years' experience. + Strong rapid prototyping skills and can quickly translate concepts into working code. + Showed talent in using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data engineering solutions. Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles and cost optimization strategies. + Proficient on experiencein Python,PySpark, SQL.
