The Tactical Architecture Group (TAG) is a group of lead network security architects and strategists within the ACC Enterprise Security Architecture organization. Work efforts include ideation, testing, proof of concept and support for various firewall /security projects. The team analyzes various hardware and/or software solutions and configuration options, recommending and identifying modifications to improve ACC’s threat posture/risk.   

Additionally, the TAG team plays a lead role in transforming the legacy “Conexus” network into a modernized segmented network, providing roadmaps, direction, guidance and consultation to engineering and operations teams. This position will work with our partner organizations in Labs, ITO Network, and GTO to develop and realize strategies to achieve the target state architecture. The scope will impact all employees of the company and all business units.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Expert level security architecture knowledge and experience in networking technologies, firewall solutions, IDS/IPS, Linux/Unix command line tools, VMware, and Algosec or other policy management/ orchestration toolsDeep understanding of firewall configurations, network segmentation, and secure routing protocolsAdvanced knowledge of Azure cloud security architecture, policy enforcement, and workload protectionExperience implementing cloud-native security controls and automation frameworksProficiency in risk assessment methodologies and vulnerability oversightIn-depth familiarity with PCI-DSS, NIST, ISO 27001, and other regulatory frameworksProven experience supporting internal and external audits, including evidence gathering and remediation planningMentoring and developing talent across technical and non-technical rolesExperience overseeing the development and deployment of custom security tools and automation pipelinesFamiliarity with scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Go, Ansible)   

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (MS/MA) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field8+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity architecture and engineeringCertifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM

Our Principal Cybersecurity earns between $158,200.00-$237,400.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
