We are seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer (Principal Cyber Software Engineer) to join our dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems team in San Antonio, TX.
This position is contingent upon contract award, obtaining customer funding, and holding final clearances prior to start date.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and maintain the software CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, bug-safe delivery of critical software to production.
Integrate cyber requirements into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).
Set up/maintain Development, Test, and Build environments for the team.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into all systems and applications.
Build systems in compliance with Zero Trust Architecture principles.
Install, test, and verify software products.
Define and implement software version control processes, policies, and procedures.
Work independently without supervision and meet rapid deployment deadlines while ensuring solutions meet customer product requirements.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Cyber Systems Engineer:
5 years of experience in Software Engineering with a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) or related field OR 3 years of experience in Software Engineering with a Master’s degree in in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) or related field.
Experience with DevOps tools and processes.
U.S. Citizenship required.
A current/active DoD Top Secret clearance w/ SCI eligibility.
Knowledge and experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) Practices.
Development experience in one or more of the following scripts: yaml, Python, PowerShell, Curl, Unix.
Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, C++, C#).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with automating tasks using Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Puppet or Python
Experience with DevSecOps tools and processes, including GitLab, SonarQube, Fortify, and other CI/CD and security automation platforms.
Strong background in platform development, including core services and Infrastructure as Code.
Primary Level Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
