Join the Collins Aerospace Mission Systems team as a Principal Contracts Specialist within the Advanced Networking Solutions (ANS) Program, supporting the Battle Management Command and Control (BMC2) & Autonomy portfolio. This dynamic role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate directly with ANS Program Managers and cross-functional teams to manage and execute a varied set of contracts in support of the U.S. Navy’s critical requirements. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to all aspects of contract administration, including business pursuits, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and acquisition. You’ll also have the chance to develop expertise in risk management, identify opportunities for program improvements, and provide business counsel to Program Management Teams to ensure successful contract fulfillment.
This is an exciting position for an experienced contract professional to make a direct impact on high-stakes defense projects. Your responsibilities will include managing multiple contracts across various phases of capture, while navigating complex legal, regulatory, and customer-specific requirements. This position is a Hybrid role based out of our St. Petersburg, FL facility and may provide opportunities for business travel to engage with customers and stakeholders directly. **What You Will Do:**
+ Provide contract management and business support to the ANS Program Manager(s) and team responsible for the Navy’s requirements.
+ Manage and execute current and upcoming contract requirements within the Battle Management Command and Control (BMC2) & Autonomy portfolio.
+ Oversee multiple contracts in various phases of capture, working with Navy and other customers to fulfill contract requirements.
+ Lead contract administration and negotiation, including: Front-end assessment of business pursuits, proposal preparation and contract negotiation for various contract types, and contract acquisition and fulfillment of legal, customer, and company requirements
+ Manage external customer relationships and provide business counsel to Program Management Teams
+ Expedite proposal, negotiation, and/or definitization of contracts critical to the ANS Program Area
+ Develop skills to recognize and mitigate business and contractual risks, implement solutions, and carry them to completion
+ Exercise judgment and decision-making with minimal supervision
+ Please note that the ability and willingness to travel domestically for customer negotiations, program reviews, and other engagements may be necessary
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
+ US Government contract experience
+ Experience working with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, etc. and/or equivalent government regulations
+ Experience in preparation and negotiation of proposals/contract
+ Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain Top Secret **after start.**
**Qualifications We Prefer:**
+ 5 years of experience (3 years with advanced degree) in the field of Contract Management, Negotiations, Finance, Supply Chain, Program Management or related fields
+ Experience in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or Project)
+ Ability to problem solve, develop solutions, and support the business leaders in achieving their financial and performance goals and objectives

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
