PRINCIPAL CIVIL ENGINEER
Location: Boden, SE
Contract duration: initial 12-month contract - renewable
Start Date: ASAP
Roster: Rotation – 6 weeks Boden, 2 weeks off. 53 hours per week.

We are seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to lead and execute complex engineering projects. The role involves interpreting business needs, recommending best practices, and solving advanced civil engineering challenges with minimal guidance. The successful candidate will have deep expertise in civil engineering and broad knowledge across the discipline.

Responsibilities include:

Leading conceptual, FEED, and detailed design activities Preparing design calculations, reports, and specifications Managing engineering teams and project deliverables Performing design verification and inter-discipline checks Supervising engineers and designers Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders Supporting bids, subcontract preparation, and vendor data review Mentoring junior staff and supporting departmental development
Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering 15–20 years’ experience in oil and gas design projects Strong knowledge of design codes and standards (e.g., EC, ACI/AISC/API) Experience in structural analysis and specialist tasks (e.g., FEM, fatigue, geotechnical) Fluent in English (oral and written) Registered Professional Engineer or equivalent preferred The next step We have an exceptional team in place, and we are pleased to be able to appoint a further person to our growing business.
