Description
The Principal Business Insights Analyst will serve as a strategic partner to leadership, providing deep analytical expertise to guide decision-making and solve complex business challenges. This role involves analyzing large datasets, identifying key trends, and presenting actionable insights to stakeholders. The position requires strong technical, strategic, and communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate across teams and drive data-driven initiatives.
Primary responsibilities include
Data Analysis & Reporting:Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.Present acquisition and portfolio management reporting with key findings and risk metrics.Communicate complex analyses in a clear, actionable format for non-technical audiences.Generate monthly policy committee and forum materials with analytics and commentary.Team LeadershipLead a team of 2-3 analysts, promoting skill development and best practices.Drive efforts to enhance analytic reporting and capabilities.Strategic InfluenceDeliver data-driven recommendations to influence business decisions.Create visualizations and reports that tell compelling data stories.Provide insights that support strategy and growth across functions.Stakeholder EngagementPartner with business lines and regulatory teams to understand analytics needs.Collaborate with IT and data teams to source and align data with standards.Act as a trusted business banking advisor to ensure data supports organizational objectives.Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
7+ years of financial services experience, with exposure to risk management processes and procedures.7+ years Quantitative Skills – ability to develop and implement effective portfolio management routines that monitor KPIs, benchmark performance vs. peers, and identify emerging trends. 7+ years of relevant experience in a quantitative role. Experience, with SQL required, experience with VBA, SAS, R, or Python are a strong plus.Experience with analytical process automationPrevious experience in a similar role within a financial services organization would be preferredAbility to drive actionable outcomes from analytical insight and effectively communicate findings and recommendations to business leadership.Exceptional problem-solving acumen with ability to think strategically. Time Management – ability to prioritize competing assignments and thrive in a fast-paced results orientated environment. Strong written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)Hours & Work Schedule
