As a Principal Business Development Manager for Betting & Gaming in North America, you will be at the forefront of driving AWS adoption and revenue growth within this dynamic sector. Your primary focus will be on spearheading cloud transformation initiatives and fostering strategic customer engagements across the region.
In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of adoption, utilization, and revenue targets for AWS betting and gaming customers. Your responsibilities will extend to developing technical go-to-market strategies and crafting effective sales plays. Leveraging your industry insights, you'll play a crucial role in influencing the AWS service and solutions roadmap to meet the evolving needs of the betting and gaming sector.
A key aspect of your role will involve driving strategic partnerships with major gaming operators and technology providers. Your expertise and vision will be instrumental in shaping AWS's overall betting and gaming strategy in North America.
The ideal candidate for this position will bring at least 10 years of experience in gaming/betting technology sales or business development, with a proven track record of driving cloud adoption in gaming environments. You should possess a deep understanding of gaming industry technology stacks and business processes, coupled with a strong technical background that enables you to engage confidently with the C-Suite and other technical/non-technical decision-makers.
Your experience should include closing multi-million dollar enterprise deals, and you should have a demonstrated history of building and maintaining C-level relationships. A combination of gaming industry domain expertise, hands-on experience with cloud transformation projects, and a strong analytical mindset will set you apart.
Technical depth in AWS and cloud services is preferred, as is an understanding of gaming regulations and compliance. A track record of influencing product roadmaps would be highly advantageous.

Key job responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
Forge strategic partnerships across North America's regulated gaming landscape by establishing and deepening relationships with key stakeholders including:
-Major commercial casino operators and tribal gaming enterprises
- Sports betting and iGaming platform providers
- State gaming regulators and tribal gaming commissions
- Industry technology suppliers and payment providers
- Industry associations (AGA, NIGA, etc.)
- Work with our partner team to develop a strong partner network (both SIs and ISVs) with dedicated focus to the B&G industry
Drive market education and adoption by:
- Evangelizing AWS cloud solutions to the North American betting & gaming ecosystem, with particular focus on state-specific compliance requirements
- Developing technical enablement programs tailored to U.S. and Canadian regulatory frameworks
- Creating region-specific use cases demonstrating AWS value proposition for gaming operators
Success requires balancing strategic vision with tactical execution while navigating the complex regulatory environment of the North American betting and gaming industry.
A day in the life
You will drive AWS adoption and revenue growth in the Betting and Gaming vertical by collaborating with field marketing, account teams, solutions architects and partner teams. You'll engage with key industry stakeholders including but not exclusive to operators, suppliers, regulators, and ISVs. Core responsibilities include helping customers onboard to AWS, developing market intelligence, accelerating workload migrations, and supporting enterprise business transformation. The role involves frequent customer interaction and requires regular performance reporting.

We are a global team of games industry specialists, supporting the leading games accounts in the world. Our team members are geographically distributed across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific / Japan. We collaborate closely as the games industry is global and interconnected in nature.
The goals of our team are to support the AWS account teams in achieving revenue growth targets for the accounts grouped by geography and regions, and creating and driving the launch of line of business specific pipeline. The support which we provide is for industry expertise for overall account planning and development, AWS Partner Network (APN) partner identification, and then proactive engagement for Line of Business opportunity creation thru to launch and revenue. The output goals per geo are based on year on year (YoY) revenue growth.
