Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech **We are searching for the best talent for** **PRINCIPAL AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN** **Purpose:** Under Automation Manager supervision, the technician provides support to the Engineering and automation projects/programs. **You will be responsible for** In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position: o Monitors the implemented automation solutions through daily support in production. o Provides support in the execution of engineering validations and new technologies. o Manages change management with production areas. o Collects customer feedback for the development of new technologies and processes. o Reports to the automation manager any irregularities found in the implemented processes and follows up on the effectiveness of the solutions. o Is responsible for ensuring compliance, both personal and corporate, with federal, state, and local regulations, policies, and procedures related to Health, Safety, and Environment. **Qualifications / Requirements:** + Under minimal supervision, works on complex assignments by nature, requiring judgment, initiative, and problem-solving skills, such as executing software protocols and qualifying process performance (OPQ). + Leads the implementation of automated solutions in production areas, providing technical support and acting as a link between the technical approach and the production team with a focus on manufacturing. + Provides advice to production associates regarding the technologies implemented by the automation group. + Shares project or activity progress updates with area or project leaders. + Supports the development and preparation of training materials for new technologies and processes. + Generates improvement ideas and prototypes them to collaborate with the Automation Engineer on developing proof-of-concept tests. + Develops and analyzes graphs, tables, diagrams, drawings, and presentations. + Acts as the technical contact point with suppliers to support project leaders in collecting technical materials and samples for the development of automated solutions. + Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level + Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable. + Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures + Performs other duties assigned as needed + A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent technical degree is required, Or a graduate of a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Engineering (Preferred). + From 6 to 8 years of industry experienceor currently in the final semesters of a university degree + Proficient in the use of various software types to create presentations in PowerPoint/PDF formats. + Certification or training in change management (Preferable). + Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and/or Six Sigma is expected. + Knowledge and/or previous experience in manufacturing processes. + Preferably have knowledge in the medical products industry and/or in the Engineering or Lean Manufacturing department. + Bilingual: Spanish/English is preferred. + Skilled in using software packages (Microsoft Office, CAD, Minitab, etc.). + Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and/or Six Sigma is expected. + Certification in change management (Preferable). \#LI-Onsite **Required Skills:** **Preferred Skills:** Administrative Support, AutoCAD Mechanical, Communication, Compliance Management, Controls Compliance, Execution Focus, ISO 9001, Persistence and Tenacity, Problem Solving, Quality Control (QC), Quality Standards, Quality Systems Documentation, Quality Validation, Report Writing, SolidWorks, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Teamwork, Technologically Savvy
