About the Role
Capital One is seeking a Principal Associate, Social Content Creator to join our in-house creative team. In this role you’ll help ensure Capital One Canada is discoverable, trusted and engaging by producing everything from punchy social content and digital ads, explainer videos and branded storytelling. This is a unique opportunity to play a role in evolving our approach to content marketing.

Your Responsibilities:
Conceptualize, shoot, and edit high-energy, short-form video (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) that stops the scroll and builds trust with customers
Step in as on-camera talent as needed (e.g. hosting interviews or streeters)
Create marketing content that cuts through the noise
Monitor ongoing cultural conversations and social trends unique to each platform, and identify topics that our target audience engages with to implement real-time opportunities
Adapt content contextually, across channels and tailored for different audiences
Collaborate with designers, motion designers, art directors, writers, and brand and marketing strategists, to produce content for digital marketing campaigns
Provide direction during productions to on-camera talent (primarily real people)
Partner with internal stakeholders to tell associate stories that elevate our brand
Work autonomously on numerous projects happening at the same time
Act as a team lead by providing mentorship, guidance, and project oversight
Deliver error-free work, using best practices with keen attention to detail
Listen to and incorporate feedback

Basic Qualifications:
You have a portfolio that proves you can script, shoot, and edit specifically for social platforms
5+ years experience creating digital content for social media
5+ years experience with editing software (Premiere, CapCut, After Effects) and GSuite (GMail, Sheets, Slides or Docs)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience in the financial services industry
