As a Principal Associate, supporting Research & Development function, a team that innovates boldly and delivers new products and services to help revolutionize the eye care industry, advance optimal patient outcomes and help people see brilliantly. Would be primarily responsible for leading scientific research, development, and testing of new products, processes, and raw materials. You will explore new theories, devise research methods, and coordinate pilot production runs to drive innovation and problem-solving. This role is in Fort Worth, Texas and a typical day would include:

Manage individual technical projects in the Chemical Science department, applying specialized knowledge to achieve objectives and drive innovation.Develop chemical processes, conduct experiments, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and make operational decisions for your projects, contributing to the overall success of the projects and advancement of chemical science research.Take on more autonomy and ownership of projects and tasks, managing your own workload and working independently.Engage in problem-solving and process improvement, contributing to the overall goals of your team.Mentor junior colleagues, sharing knowledge and providing guidance on best practices while expanding your own expertise.

What You'll Bring to Alcon:

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs).The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English5 Years of Relevant Experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD in organic/polymer material sciences
