Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board! **Why you'll love this job** + ​This job is a member of the Information Technology team within the Information Technology Division. + ​This position is a senior technical role on a highly skilled and experienced team providing technical application design and leadership services. **What you'll do** + Design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-optimized infrastructure solutions that support hybrid connectivity, high availability, and disaster recovery. + Provide architectural oversight for application and infrastructure integration across complex enterprise networks, including ExpressRoute, VPN gateways, NSGs, load balancers, and DNS. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and enforce cloud architecture standards, security policies, and operational best practices. + Review and approve technical designs, ensuring they meet performance, security, and maintainability goals. + Mentor team members in cloud architecture, networking fundamentals, and Azure platform capabilities. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including developers, product owners, and infrastructure engineers—to define technical roadmaps, prioritize technical debt, and deliver high-impact solutions. + Guide the migration of legacy applications (e.g., mainframe, Windows Server 2012) to modern platforms using containerization, serverless, and PaaS strategies. + Architect and support integrations between SAP SuccessFactors, on-prem systems, and third-party platforms using tools like Dell Boomi and Azure Integration Services. + Champion DevOps and CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep) to improve delivery velocity and system reliability. + Architect and support integrations between SAP SuccessFactors, on-prem systems, and third-party platforms using tools like Dell Boomi and Azure Integration Services. + Champion DevOps and CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep) to improve delivery velocity and system reliability. + Mentor and empower development teams through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing forums. + Serve as a technical escalation point and proactively manage risks across multiple concurrent initiatives. **All you'll need for success** **Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience** + Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology , Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training + 5 years architectural and design experience **Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience** + Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology , Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training + 3 years of technical or team leadership experience + Airline industry experience **Skills, Licenses & Certifications** + Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, including VM provisioning, storage architecture, networking (NSGs, load balancers, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute), and identity integration + Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts: routing, DNS, firewalls, hybrid connectivity, and secure cloud/on-prem integration + Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Bicep + Experience with containerization using Docker and a solid understanding of Kubernetes + Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TFS + Experience with cloud-native development using .NET, C#, Java, Spring, ReactJS, AngularJS, NodeJS + Familiarity with integration platforms and messaging systems: Dell Boomi, IBM MQ, IIB, REST APIs, SOAP + Strong database experience: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis + Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools: ELK Stack, Dynatrace, New Relic, BigPanda + Proven ability to lead technical design efforts and guide teams through complex architectural decisions + Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills + Experience in designing and engineering Linux platforms (CentOS, SUSE etc.) on Azure cloud. + Experience with SAP SuccessFactors, SAP HCM, or SAP BTP extensions + Familiarity with RPA tools: UiPath, Automation Anywhere, SAP Intelligent RPA + Experience in regulated industries or environments with high compliance requirements + Airline or transportation industry experience + Knowledge of Pacemaker cluster management for SAP workloads + Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Network Engineer Associate) **What you'll get** Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: + Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
