ABOUT STEVENSON COLLEGE AND CAREER PREPARATORY Robert Louis Stevenson College and Career Preparatory (CCP) opened on February 1, 1926. Named after the renowned Scottish writer Robert Louis Stevenson, the school’s first students drew inspiration from his classic novel Treasure Island to establish its earliest traditions. Stevenson CCP serves over 650 middle school students in grades 6-8. The school offers a Gifted/High Ability Magnet and a Communication Arts Magnet, and a Spanish Dual Language program in addition to the general education program. LAUSD MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: All minimum requirements must be met on or before the filing deadline and must be in a public school setting. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that documentation of minimum requirements is on file with the LAUSD HR Administrative Selection Unit. For questions about submitting documentation, please contact (213) 241-6886. - At least eight years of successful full-time public school certificated service, including: - Minimum of three years of experience as a teacher in a K-12 public school program - Two years of service in an administrative or supervisory position utilizing an administrative credential, such as an assistant principal or equivalent position - A valid California Administrative Services Credential - A valid California teaching credential requiring a Bachelor's degree and a program of professional preparation, including student teaching - Master’s degree from an accredited college or university - Multicultural coursework (candidates have one year to complete after hire) - District Master Plan requirements (candidates have one year to complete after hire) For all school based administrative positions, candidates must be in the appropriate LAUSD eligible pool for the position or currently serving in the class for which they are applying. In order to be placed in the eligible pool, candidates must successfully complete the appropriate LAUSD Aspiring Administrator Program. Qualified applicants not in an eligible pool from within or outside LAUSD may be considered if fewer than five applicants from the eligible pool apply for the position.

The selected candidate will sign their contract with LAUSD Candidates must submit the following with their application: 1) Letter of Intent that describes successful experience in the following areas: - Serving as the instructional leader of your school site. - Using data to make informed decisions related to the instructional program and budget. - Collaborating with stakeholders, including parents and community members or partners organizations, to maintain a learning environment that supports all students. - Building trust with staff, students, and families on your campus. Please share if you are a Spanish speaker at the fluent or conversational levels. 2) Current resume (include employee number, if a District employee) 3) Upload a separate attachment that includes evidence of your current school's academic and other achievements for 2024-25. SBA, reclassification, iReady, student attendance, staff attendance, school experience survey, or other data are welcome. 4) Upload a separate attachment list of four (4) references with valid contact information including your current supervisor and 3 of the following: a direct report such as an assistant principal or out-of-classroom teacher, a classroom teacher, a parent/community member, a classified staff member.
