Launched in 2007, the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools’ mission is to transform schools to revolutionize school systems, empowering all students with a high-quality education. The Partnership is a non-profit, in-District partner to LA Unified, not a charter network. As an independent nonprofit organization, the Partnership serves 13,550 students across 20 LA Unified schools in Watts, Boyle Heights and South Los Angeles. The Partnership works within the Los Angeles Unified School District context, which includes honoring all collective bargaining agreements for its teachers and school staff.
Job Summary Job SummaryABOUT SANTEE EDUCATION COMPLEX Santee Education Complex, Home of the Falcons, serves approximately 1,700 students in grades 9 through 12. Santee opened in 2005 on the site of a former dairy facility south of Downtown Los Angeles to create a high-performing school for the area’s high school students. Santee's strong academic program includes the GATE School for Advanced Studies, AVID support classes, City Year, and a wide array of Advanced Placement classes. Santee also provides strong athletic teams, a swimming pool, construction program, networking, drama, and culinary arts instruction. Santee is a GATE school, school for advanced studies partnering with Ed Equity and local community colleges. The selected candidate will sign their contract with LAUSD. Candidates must submit the following with their application: 1. Letter of Intent that describes successful experience in the following areas: o Serving as the instructional leader of your school site. o Using data to make informed decisions related to the instructional program and budget. o Collaborating with stakeholders, including parents and community members or partners organizations, to maintain a learning environment that supports all students. o Building trust with staff, students, and families on your campus. Please share if you are a Spanish speaker at the fluent or conversational levels. 2. Current resume (include employee number, if a District employee) 3. Upload a separate attachment that includes evidence of your current school's academic and other achievements for 2024-25. SBA, reclassification, iReady, student attendance, staff attendance, school experience survey, or other data are welcome. 4. Upload a separate attachment list of four (4) references with valid contact information including your current supervisor and 3 of the following: a direct report such as an assistant principal or out-of-classroom teacher, a classroom teacher, a parent/community member, a classified staff member.
