Principal, Content Strategy, Amazon Autos
Description Amazon is looking for a Principal, Content Strategy. We’re partnering with dealers and brands to redesign car shopping—making it more transparent, convenient, and customer-friendly. As part of this team, you will be a key player in bringing this brand to life, driving awareness of Amazon Autos. You will have the opportunity to build a content marketing program from the ground up, working in an agile startup atmosphere. About You: You’re an experienced content strategist and marketing professional who loves to build. You think customer-first and balance strategic, creative, and tactical thinking to deliver impactful, thumb stopping content. You will develop and execute content strategies that build the Amazon Autos brand across both Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) audiences. You will own the complete content journey, from thought leadership initiatives to social media and creator partnerships. This role reports to the Head of Marketing Amazon Reporting into the Head of Marketing, you will collaborate with B2B and B2C Channel leaders, Creative, Events, PR and Business Development to deliver a measurable content strategy that ladders into business goals. You will be required to present learnings & insights to leadership. Key job responsibilities - Develop comprehensive content strategies for B2B and B2C audiences that strengthen the Amazon Autos brand across all customer journey touchpoints - Create and manage a thought leadership platform for Amazon Autos, collaborating with Public Relations and Business Development teams on white papers, industry research, and keynote speaking opportunities - Own organic content strategy for social media channels, with particular focus on the LinkedIn Showcase page, TikTok, Meta platforms, and Google - Lead creator content strategy development and serve as primary point of contact with external agency partners - Define content measurement frameworks and key performance indicators to track effectiveness and drive continuous improvement - Identify opportunities to repurpose and scale high-performing content across channels - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content aligns with broader marketing and business objectives - Drive SEO strategy to increase organic traffic and visibility for Amazon Autos marketplace Basic Qualifications - 6+ years of Content Strategy, Programming Strategy, and/or Marketing Strategy experience - Experience developing content that is award nominated, or from a broadcast network or streaming platform - Experience building and growing relationships with internal and external partners - 7+ years of social/content distribution strategy experience - Experience driving high performance content and growth within a world class content company - Knowledge of digital advertising or search advertising or analytics solutions (e.g. Google Analytics) - Experience in Online Marketing, Influencer marketing, Blogs, Social Media, & Web Analytics (Adobe preferred) - Experience managing content projects of varying complexity Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree or above in marketing, communications, or equivalent - Experience working in the Automotive and/or Manufacturing industry in a sales, business development or partner capacity - Experience in influencer, affiliate marketing - Experience analyzing digital marketing campaigns, patterns and data trends to determine if they are meeting business objectives, and in turn leading recommendations to optimize Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $249,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
