As a Systems Administrator within manufacturing operations, you will serve as a key technical resource responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing systems to ensure reliable, compliant, and efficient manufacturing operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, IT, and Engineering to support the deployment of digital solutions, troubleshoot system issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The Systems Administrator is expected to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GMP), and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced production setting. This role plays a critical part in ensuring system integrity, data accuracy, and adherence to validated processes.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with other IT functions.

Installs, operates, manages, and maintains hardware and/or software, including administrator and service accounts, maintenance of system documentation, tuning system performance, backup/recovery, and other planned configuration changes.

Interacts with users and other stakeholders to plan and implement changes and deliver support.

Contributes to evaluation and recommendations for vendor products, manages and monitors policies and standards for the use of computing resources, and executes on programs and projects within a specific IT function.

Management and provisioning of enterprise infrastructure components such as servers, networks, databases, storage, virtualization platforms, data centers, backup systems, and data extraction solutions.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Requires Bachelor’s DegreeRequires minimum of 7 years of experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.Requires mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

Knowledge of database platforms such as Oracle and/or SQL Server, including system support and administrationStrong knowledge of Linux operating systemsExposure to cybersecurity principles, access management, and audit readinessExperience supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in production-critical systemsExperience supporting system upgrades, patches, and technology refresh initiativesStrong communication skills, including communication with employees, clients, upper management, and vendorsStrong results orientation (driving to deadlines, financial targets, project goals, etc.)Lean Sigma/Six Sigma – DMAIC MethodologyAbility to work collaboratively and partner with employees, leaders, clients, and vendorsAbility to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyStrong decision-making skillsAbility to work independentlyExcellent presentation skills including the ability to translate highly technical information into business terminology
