Support Prime Finance trading, ensure accurate trade capture, manage risk controls, and drive process improvements in a dynamic team.

As a Prime Finance Trader Assistant within the Prime Finance Trading Services Team you will be responsible for ensuring that all trades executed are entered completely & accurately into the Risk Management systems and performing core start-of-day and end-of-day controls to ensure Risk is correctly represented for Front Office.

Job responsibilities

Ensure that all trades executed are entered completely & accurately into the Risk Management systems Perform core start-of-day and end-of-day controls to ensure Risk is correctly represented for Front OfficeEnsure all trade capture and reporting exceptions are verified, cleared and escalated appropriately in a timely mannerLiaise with various other FO, MO and BO Teams on issues related to Cash Equity trades E.g. Product Control, Sales, Sales Support, Cash and Derivative Settlements, Client Services, Reconciliations, Technology, Business ManagementManage trade life cycle events (expiries, dividends, corporate actions, etc.)Improve the pre and post trade controls environmentMaximize trade processing STP through tactical problem solving and root cause analysisProduce analysis for the trading desks and senior managementProvide input into core projects including; industry-wide initiatives, regulatory, trading strategy, operational programs

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

Strong security and derivative products knowledgeSound understanding of Equity Swaps, Cash Equities, Derivative products, trading workflows and corporate actionsExperience supporting Trading Desks in Prime/ Hedge Fund businessRelevant Operational experience Self-motivation and demonstration of initiativeExcellent Analytical skillsExcellent oral and written communication and presentation skillsHighly organizedExtremely detailed and control orientatedKeen to challenge processes and suggest automated solutions
