Primary Sodium Pump Test Engineer
(Remote Eligible | $63- $80/hr | 1-Year Contract with possible extension 
Location: Everett, WA / Bellevue, WA 

System One is seeking a Primary Sodium Pump Test Engineer to support a high-performance engineering team working on the testing and validation of advanced reactor system components. This role will focus on test planning, execution, and system interface design for a major sodium test facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary test engineer for sodium pump design and deployment

Lead test planning, system interface development, and test execution

Coordinate design documentation and team communications across geographically diverse teams

Develop and maintain system-level test requirements and procedures

Support the design and application of data acquisition and instrumentation for test environments

Analyze test results and contribute to system refinement

Ensure integration between design and test engineering efforts

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

5+ years of test engineering experience

Experience with alkali metals, instrumentation, or lab/industrial testing strongly preferred

Familiarity with DAQ/control systems and test documentation development

Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills

Self-starter able to lead tasks with minimal supervision

Nuclear or DOE project experience preferred
