Position Details Primary Department or Practice: UHS Primary Care Walton ----- Full-time, exempt and seeking both experienced and new graduate Nurse Practitioners seeing all ages. Shared call every 5-6 weeks with one week on. The Nurse Practitioner will provide general medical care and treatment to patients in our medical facility, under direction of physician. Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs. Record physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition. Discuss cases with physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan. May refer patients to physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment. FNP must possess current licensure in New York State as an RN and must have a current New York State license as a Nurse Practitioner.
