This Full-Time Internal Medicine practice is located in the primary care/specialty care clinic on our La Crosse Campus. The internist scope of practice consists of 100% outpatient ambulatory clinic. Inpatient care is not within the scope of practice as it is provided by a 24/7 Hospitalist Service. An outpatient call schedule (via phone) is equally shared with a large group of Primary Care Physicians. Our physicians have the opportunity to be involved with our Family Medicine Residency Program. The Internal Medicine Department at the Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse is seeking a Board Certified /Board Eligible Physician. This outpatient opportunity includes: + Practice team of 9 Internal Medicine physicians, 3 Nurse Practitioner and 2 Physician Assistant + Access to collaborative curbside consults from onsite multi-specialty physicians, in addition to onsite pharmacy and social work + Full time work week of 32 direct patient contact hours and 8 hours non visit/indirect patient care time + Avg 14-16 pt/day + Good balance of new and returning patients + Adult population with need for complex care, geriatric interest/training a plus + Ability to support our Senior Services team as a physician seeing patients in regional skilled nursing facilities + Mentorship and coaching support available + Opportunity for education and research + Generous and comprehensive fringe benefit package Ideal physician should be a team player, willing to share call, enjoys working closely with multi-specialty group members and communicates well with patients and colleagues. **Qualifications** Position requires a MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent.
